Suicide Prevention Coalition of Clackamas County
(virtual, via ZOOM)
Tuesday, April 19, 2020 – 4:30 to 5:30 pm
Join Zoom Meeting
https://clackamascounty.zoom.us/j/84854577613…
Meeting ID: 848 5457 7613; Passcode: 352620
Come learn about the new “988” suicide prevention lifeline and how it will work in Oregon!
The National Suicide Hotline Designation Act, federal legislation designating 988 as the three-digit dialing code for the Lifeline, was signed into law in October 2020. This triumph was the outcome of many years of activism by the mental health community for the creation of an easy-to-remember telephone number that would increase accessibility of the Lifeline. The Federal Communications Commission has required telephone providers to make calling to the Lifeline via 988 accessible by July 16, 2022.
Join us at the Suicide Prevention Coalition for an educational session with leadership from the Oregon Health Authority.
Please welcome Rusha Grinstead, Behavioral Health Planner, AMHPAC/Block Grant and Chelsea Holcomb, Director of Child and Family Behavioral Health
